Generally, our age restriction at the venue is 8+ (under 14's must be accompanied by an adult), however please refer to your tickets where the age restriction will be clearly noted.

Not to worry! We will have a ticket list on the door so all you will need is the booking name and we'll be able to find you. If you would like a copy of your tickets resent prior to the event, please email us at hello@the1865.live.

We have limited seating available for shows however if you would like to reserve seating, please email our accessibility team at access@the1865.live once you have purchased tickets. Please include the full name of the lead booker, your party size and any requests you may have.

The 1865 is located in the heart of Southampton at Brunswick Square, SO14 3AR. We’re easy to find and accessible by public transport and nearby parking options.

Limited tickets may be available on the door for shows that have not sold out, however we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Should an event be sold out, please do check out our events on ticketswap, our official resale partners!

Our bars operate a challenge 25 policy, so please bring photo ID if you wish to purchase alcohol.

Door opening times vary by event, but they are usually between 7 PM and 8 PM. Please check your ticket or our website for specific times.

We have a relaxed dress code. Just bring a great attitude and dress comfortably to enjoy the show. For specific themed nights or sports events, there may be suggested attire, which will be mentioned in the event details.

Yes! We have a bar serving a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Occasionally, food may be available, especially during special events, but usually we have a wide variety of snacks. Please check the event listing or call ahead for details.

There is limited on-street parking nearby, and several paid parking lots are within walking distance. We recommend public transport or rideshares when possible, as parking spaces may fill up quickly during events.

Yes, The 1865 is wheelchair accessible. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance at access@the1865.live, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Professional cameras and recording equipment are not permitted unless explicitly agreed with by the artist or event organiser. Standard mobile phone photography and point and shoot compact cameras are typically fine, but please be mindful of those around you.

If you’ve lost something during an event, please contact us via email or phone with a description of the item, and we’ll check our lost and found. Please note, any items that have been left longer than 4 weeks will be given to charity.

In accordance with licensing law the venue has the right to refuse admission without providing a reason. If you have consumed alcohol prior to arrival & appear to be in an intoxicated state or behave inappropriately in the queue or in view of the venue staff you may be refused entry or removed from the venue without a refund.

All attendees are subject to security screening. Bags may be checked, and no large items or prohibited substances are allowed into the venue.

Our cloakroom is usually open during the winter months or upon request. We charge £2 an item.

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except in the following circumstances:

• Event cancellation: If the event is cancelled in full (and not rescheduled), you will receive a refund of the ticket price (excluding booking/service fees). For multi-day events, a proportionate refund will be issued for any cancelled days.

• Rescheduled events: If the event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will remain valid for the new date. If you cannot attend, you may request a refund of the ticket price (excluding booking/service fees) within a reasonable timeframe after the new date is announced.

• Material changes: If an event is significantly altered in a way that makes it materially different from what was originally advertised, you may request a refund of the ticket price. Please note that the following do not count as material changes:

  • Use of understudies in theatre performances

  • Adverse weather conditions

  • Changes to a supporting act

  • Changes to individual members of a band

  • Line-up changes at multi-performer events (e.g. festivals)

  • Curtailment of an event where the majority is still performed in full

  • Delays to start times
    

For all other situations, including personal circumstances such as illness, travel issues or work commitments, we are unable to provide a refund. However, you will be able to securely resell your ticket via TicketSwap, our official resale partner.
